This is a sweet little park with super friendly management. Nicely wooded sites with good separation and wide level pads. Big-rig friendly. No TV signal and no CATV so it's satellite or nothing and the nice woods make that a challenge. Wi-Fi is available, but we didn't use. Super quiet: has great trails all within easy walking distance. Mini-mart gas/video store and restaurant just a block or two away. Ask for directions to the Ajax Cafe and go experience a delightful meal in a funky old building where patrons are encouraged to wear one or more of thousands of hats on the walls of the restaurant. This park is in a planned waterfront residential community, but feels like a state park. This park would have rated a 10 if it had CATV. We'll stay here again for certain!

Nice staff: they were helpful with local attractions and dining (ask for discount coupons). This is a big park on river with lots of boating activity. Has clean, level sites and is well managed, but most of park is essentially a minimally landscaped parking lot. The private individual restroom/showers are nice. It has easy access to I-90. We would stay here again.

Staff were very friendly, sites were clean, level and in great condition. Laundry and showers were very well maintained. Nice central location in the Flathead valley; easy drive to Park, Whitefish and Kalispell. Enjoy breakfast and/or coffee across the street at Montana Coffee Traders! We will absolutely stay here again. Only downside is sites are pretty close to one another and shade is minimal. Pet Friendly!!

A newer park, this place isn't quite as nice as the pictures on their website would lead you to believe. Some things you might appreciate knowing that aren't listed on their website: A)The park is on a road that gets heavy truck traffic 7 days a week (gravel and cement plant near park) so road noise is present, but not disturbing. B)Also close to the park is a rifle range, and so gunfire can be heard throughout the park. Again, a nuisance noise, that may or may not bother you. C)There are a large number of "permanent" or long-term RVs in the park. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of other good choices for big rigs in Squamish. Of the ones we looked at this one is by far the nicest, even with the above-noted blemishes. Large sites, but little privacy between sites. Park roads are dirt/gravel, and have a growing pothole problem. No Cable and only 1 or 2 local stations. Gorgeous mountain views surround the park and oodles of recreation choices. Many good places to eat north of the park in Giribaldi Area. Very nice Train Heritage Park is a must see.

This park is consistently our best for wildlife viewing. Deer (bucks, does and fawns) roam the campground freely. Outside the campground we have seen bears, moose and elk on every visit. Good spacing between sites, but little tree or brush in the campground. Paved sites with lawn surrounding sites. Strangely, the sewer hookups are in the center of the site pad, which usually entails crawling under your unit to make the connection to the inlet. It is frequently windy in this campground. The drive up to Cameron Lake AND Red Rock Canyon are both HIGHLY recommended---both for the scenery and wildlife. Fires are NOT permitted in this park, except in fireplaces in the group shelters in the campground. A very enjoyable camping experience and we'll stay here again for sure.

Reservations are a necessity at this park. Excellent spacing of sites---vast, expansive spaces of green grass and walking paths next to rivers. Popular park is very well maintained and a treat to stay at. The pull-thru sites are a little short on radius, so manuevering is almost always necessary to get level and avaoid the water/electric pedestals. We appreciated the 1:00 PM check out time which allowed us to go into town for breakfast and shopping before returning to checkout. Able to get 4 or 5 local TV stations on roof antenna. For a great meal, try McGlinn's Public House on Orondo Street in Wenatchee. For outstandig baked goods check out the Anjou Bakery west of town on Hwy 2 (about 5 miles). Park open year round, but water at sites turned off in winter (water available at a winterized tap within the park when site taps off). We plan to stay here often.

We would stay here again, but this is a strange park. The lay-out is confusing and there is little signage to indicate driving flow. Most sites are pull thrus and will accomodate big rigs. A real mixed bag of utilities available and every site has a different colored picnic table. Some site have four sewer connections and power pedestals on both sides of the site, which helps when you have no idea which way to pull into a site from the illogical road layout. Very friendly folks running the place and the nightly community campfire is fun. Laundry room was spotless, with excellent machines and lots of reading material for while you wait. Proximity to Glacier park is a plus. Road and train noise is present, but not invasive unless you are particularly sensitive to noise. It would be difficult to get ANY park in this region that doesn't get some train noise as it is an active railroad corridor. Road noise is considerably reduced in the evenings. The management of this park will bake you a pie, but we didn't take them up on that offer. We do reccomend a visit to the Huckleberry Patch in Hungry Horse (a few miles west of the park) for famous huckleberry pie---it was indeed the best pie I've ever eaten.

This is only good for a stopover on the way someplace else; you likely wouldn't want to make this a destination. Park appears to be an after-thought of the developer who is building a retail/condo village all around the park. Sites are very tightly spaced (our slides nearly covered our neighbors picnic table---fortunately he wasn't using it). Roads are in poor condition and lots of domestic rabbits roaming the grounds. The best thing this park has going for it is the scenery of the surrounding mountains. We might stay here again, but would look for other options first.

We were pleasantly surprised with this park. It was well laid-out, clean, quiet and conveniently located. Don't let the simple sign and commercial surroundings (at the street entrance) fool you into passing by this gem. The park is up behind the motel; tucked next to woods and away from street noise. There are a limited number of 50-amp sites and a few sites have no sewer. 14 pull-thru sites---we stayed in #37---are a little tight to maneuver in or out of depending on the direction you enter. We found this park superior to the other national-chain campground listed for this town. Didn't try the wireless. Cable TV was good. A few permanent units seen on this visit. For meals try the Buffalo Cafe for an outstanding breakfast and the Rising Sun Bistro for a great lunch or dinner. We would definitely stay here again.

Rate is for a site with water & electric only. Average park with friendly staff and quiet area. Nicely located on road to Mt. St. Helens Rec Area (90 minute drive on excellent road to the east). Showers are twenty five cents for 6 minutes. Shrubs separate sites, paved roads, Cable TV had 50+ channels. Restraunt choices in area are limited, but pretty good food. Great Breakfast at the 49er near I-5. Would stay here again.

Excellent base for exploring the oustanding scenery of the provincial park. Good services and friendly staff. Power pedestals have cable connection on them, but are not hooked up (yet?); NO local TV stations. Didn't try wifi-internet computer available in office. Campground roads are in lousy condition. Average spacing between sites; some shade trees in most of the campground. We would stay here again.

Way too many speed bumps in this park---almost one for every site! Very high water pressure---bring your pressure reducer! No CATV and No local TV stations. Sites closely spaced. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice walking trail along river across the street from the park. We would stay here again, but only as a stopover.

Popular park and very easy to see why. Two campgrounds on in the woods and one nearly on the beach. Beach campground is open year-round. If camping in the winter, advise taking a site against the bluff to prevent being battered by the wind. Lots and lots of trails and history here as well as lovely beach that's easy to walk. This was our third visit here and on this visit we sampled the brunch offered in the commons building of the conference center (on park grounds). In a word: Fabulous! We read that the food service at the park is recently under a new contractor and the company prides itself on local, organic, and highest quality foods. We were very impressed and plan a prompt return. On our way out we looked at the cafe/market run by them and saw really good and out of the ordinary fare. Again this is a very popular campground and reservations well in advance are highly recommended. Nearby Sequim has some really good restaurants too.

This park is on our list of "guaranteed return". Every year we return to find more improvements to the park. Some of the oceanside sites are simply spectacular. On this visit we had a dozen or more bald eagles playing in the wind currents and landing in tree tops above our site. For a private campground it certainly has a national forest feel. Majority of sites are in nicely wooded area and sites are well spaced. Although this is not "waves crashing ashore" kind of oceanfront, there is access to a beach. Wildlife watchers will find this to be a great place to do their thing. Eagles, deer, whales, sea otters and heron. Campground office maintains a local notebook with menus and other local attractions info. Close to the ferry too.

WOW! This is a special place...doubt you could find a cleaner, more meticulously kept RV park anywhere. They pulled out all the stops on this place to make a really impressive property. The over-used term "Resort" truly applies here...they stop just short of putting mints on your pillows! The only downside might be if you aren't in an expensive rig, you will feel under-dressed! We too have heard the rumor that the land is slated for development and that would be a terrible shame. But, money talks, so if there is truth to the rumor, and you want to experience the best, then make a reservation soon. Free coffee (really good brew too) and newspapers. Exceptionally informed and helpful front office with menues for nearly every restraunt within 40 miles and recommendations for any business or service you might need. We would love to stay here again and hope we get to!

We will stay here again and again. Big Rigs, pick and reserve your site carefully using the Oregon parks website (it shows length) Some sites have sewer, some sites have cable TV, No sites have BOTH. Very well maintained. Its a bit of a hike to the beach, but well worth it!! It's close to shopping and restraunts.

Here's a winner! Well maintained and managed and although sites are closely spaced, this is a really nice place. QUIET! It has a nice indoor pool and hot tub. There is adequate maneuvering room for fifth wheels and big rigs. Also, the park is close to shopping restraunts and the beaches. Check out Sweet Basils cafe and Waves of Grain Bakery. We are looking forward to a return trip to this place.

Very well maintained park; a pleasant stay for us. Not as quiet as advertised, but highway noise isn't bothersome. We concur with all of the other 9/2007 reviewer's comments.

We were pleasantly surprised by this park and would definitely stay here again. It is clean, well-maintained, QUIET! It has a nice walking path around park. A fair amount of permanent units (seniors) but does not detract. The staff is friendly too.

We love animals and the rabbits are cute, but we aren't wild about staying in a place where everywhere you walk, there is rabbit dung. These are not wild rabbits, they're domestic rabbits and they obviously do what rabbits are good at...reproduce; so they are all over the park. The park seems to be suffering from a lack of maintenance. So here's the run down... The GOOD: fabulous beach across the street; nice store/deli and great pizza The BAD: park feels commercial and maintenance is sliding ddownhill; some staff not customer-oriented. The UGLY: Rabbit turds becoming like wall-to-wall carpet. Unlikely to stay here again.

Just a fancy parking lot, but pretty nice for the casino patrons. We were concerned about noise when we first arrived, but found it quiet in spite of its location and proximity to road and casino. Staff were really friendly and the Sunday brunch at the casino was fabulous for $17! We would stay here again, but just as as stopover.

Really lovely, albeit open-area campground. Deer freely roaming the campground and great hiking/walking trails. River through campground and lake at lower edge of campground. Sweet little town with some good eats. Internet cafe in town just 5-minute walk from campground. Drive a little and find some stunning views, wildlife (Black Bear) and interesting history. Will return to stay here again and again.

A mixed bag. Some pull thru sites, but the rest are very tight. Extremely friendly hosts...they would have backed my trailer in for me if I'd let em. Clean, relatively quiet given the proximity to highway. Fenced, grassy doggy play area was especially appreciated. Fish pond was in great shape when we were there and a few ducks were on the pond. Only negative here would be that this is a tightly packed park. Good for small to medium size units and motorhomes with a tight turning radius and no toad. If you reserve, ensure you have one of the few pull-thrus if you need it (fifthwheelers... you know who you are). We would stay here again if we can get a pull-thru.

Only thing derating this park is the train noise. Majority of sites are doubles so you're close to your neighbor, but sites are level and its a great area to explore and enjoy. River alongside campground for a nice stroll. Mountainous scenery is spectacular and ample scenery withing close drive. Highly recommend the drive to Moraine Lake; it is every bit as special (perhaps more so) than its famous sister Lake Louise.

In spite of the size of this park, we give it an enthusiastic 10. We return at least once each year and look forward to that return all year long. Elk roaming the campground, Abundant walking/hiking/recreational opportunities and great dining in the area make this a prime spot. Yes if you want one of the limited hook-up sites, reserve early---its easy to do an we've never had a problem. This is your camp of choice while exploring the incredibly scenic region and the most beautiful drive in the world...the Ice fields Parkway. Words fail to adequately describe this stretch of road.

This is on our top ten list of favorite parks. Unfortunately on this last visit, we were shocked to see the park had been stripped of many trees that had been affected by the Pine Beetle. They have to cut out these infested, dying/dead trees in order to mitigate the spread of the pest. Really looked terrible compared to what it used to be like, but they are re-planting and in a few years it will start to look good again. In spite of this, we will stay here again. Good lake acess and nice lawn areas on the lake. Well spaced and well-kept sites.

Kind of an unusual campground with long straight rows and sites just alongside the rows. Lightly wooded; sites quite close to one another. Good for an overnighter as a stopover, but wouldn't want to stay there for several nights. On the other hand if you like the tourist clogged Banff area then this would make a good base. Beautiful area but crowded in peak summer months---better to visit in off season.

Just a fancy parking lot, but probably the cleanest and friendliest park we've ever stayed at. Makes a wonderful base for exploring the surrounding wine country and wineries. Exceptionally neat and clean! Highly recommended.

Clean, green and wooded campground on big lake. Marginally big-rig friendly. Half of the campground will really challenge a large motorhome or fifth wheel (we did get through with a 34' fifth wheel, but it was tight). The other half of the campground is easily big-rig friendly, but not as wooded. Still there are sites creekside and lakeside there as well. Good site spacing for good privacy. Quiet and very nicely maintained. Really wonderful waterfall just a short and lovely walk outside the campground---don't miss it.
